Web Designer - DUBLIN 8

Job Role - Web Designer
Location - The Digital Hub, Dublin (8)
Salary - Subject to experience
Type - Permanent

To aid with rapid growth of Equinox we are looking for a skilled web designer to join our team in Dublin. Equinox are part of the 2J Commerce group a well established Magento Gold Parner based in the UK. You will work closely with our offshore development team and designing user interfaces and prototypes in responsive HTML/CSS.

You should have proven experience in web design and be able to showcase creative skill and excellent coding standards.

You will be based out of our Dublin office at The Digital Hub which is located in Dublin 8 part of the Guinness Store House. The offices offer 24/7 access, games room including Pool, Table Tennis, Table Football and breakout spaces.

Skills and experience

  • A Minimum 2-3 years web design experience
  • Experience of eCommerce web design
  • Experience of working with Magento / Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms (a distinct advantage)
  • Be a superb communicator and show organisation skills
  • Ability to gather requirements, functional specifications and work with clients directly on a day to day basis
  • A high level knowledge of HTML / CSS
  • jQuery experience would be an advantage
  • A creative mind who understands a user journey

Project Manager - DUBLIN 8

You should have at least 2-3 years experience working as an client facing Account / Project Manager. If you have a proven background working with Magento e-commerce we would definitely like to talk to you.

You will be a primary point of contact for our customers and have excellent communication skills in order to deliver Magento E-Commerce projects on time and within budget. Some of our developers are based offshore so your experience in guiding, persuading and managing colleagues at distance would be advantageous. You will need to be a calming influence when the pressure is on and be strong enough to stand your ground when projects threaten to slip or members of your team need to focus on delivering results or develop key skills. 

Your work will be very much at the heart of the business and you will be a key enabler in how we grow. Description

We seek a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day support to merchants on Magento Enteprise and community on both Magento 1 and 2 including the Enterprise Cloud platform

You wil be responsible for the performance and enhancement of systems and Magento stores through the optimisation of server environements. Assisting the deveopment team in both the UK and India in handling day to day system administration tasks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and engineering for Linux and Unix based systems running LAMP, Magento, NoSQL DBs
  • Troubleshoot challenging issues with the server environments and provide tuning recommendations for optimal performance.
  • Provide support and collaboration with other System Engineers, developers, project leads, support co-ordinators and 3rd party hosting providers.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
  • Always represents 2J Commerce professionally in both client and team situations


Ideal Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience UNIX/Linux system administration
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing LAMP environments
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with at least one of the following high level languages; Bash, Python, Ruby, and Perl
  • Experience utilizing virtualization and cloud technologies (VMWare, AWS, EC2, OpenStack, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with Nginx, Redis, Memcached, Varnish is a plus
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and keen understanding on networking essentials and current Internet technologies
  • Demonstrated written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and work with various customers and levels of management
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
